I have been wanting to go to III Forks since they came to Austin. I have eaten at some of the best steak houses around the country. I will admit while the steak was good, nothing else held a candle to the other upscale steak resturants around Austin. It took 15mins to get a drink. Our waiter walked past us 5 times after our food arrived and never checked on us. My husband had to get up and go to the wait station to get a knife! And our dessert was not memorable. The hostess came by and asked how our meal was and I told her it was my first and last time there. Then I explained to her our experience and what we got was her card and asked if we would give them a second try. Not impressed and did not feel our concern was satisfied. She also stated that the room we were in was probably under staffed...I had a vender in town Monday night and they wanted steak, guess where we did not go. Had an exceptional dinner at Ruth Chris.
