I wanted to share a bad experience I had at Elan Salon and Day Spa in Canton and hopefully spare you the same grief. I've been to the spa many times and have purchased gift certificates for friends and family there. I was there for a haircut last Saturday and someone went home with my leather jacket (I thought by mistake a week ago). It has been a week and I've been so disappointed with the spa's response. The woman at reception basically said there is nothing she can do. My stylist at least said she would call and leave messages with people who were in the salon the same time I was. After not hearing anything for four days, I called back the salon and was treated rudely and put on hold for long periods. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that they would give her a message (but would not give me her name or number). She never called me so I called the RI spa and they gave me her voicemail. She never returned my call. I should say that I was polite and patient for the first four or five days and then I have become frustrated at the lack of responsiveness, and a total lack of apology from a place that claims to rejuvenate and relax you. I've noticed that people share good finds and bad finds in this group so I thought you should have a heads-up about Elan and might consider taking your business elsewhere after hearing about my experience.
