I'm still in awe of what transpired... I brought in something to be repaired by this jeweler. He said it would be ready within the week. Two weeks later, I went to pick it up and it hadn't been done. \r

Personnel matters prevented me from going to his shop for several weeks and when I did, the piece was nowhere to be found. The jeweler insisted that I had picked it up and should look in my car and house. Weeks passed. Finally, I insisted that he reimburse me for the piece along with the cost to have it repair, $30. He begrudgingly wrote me a check. Then three days later, he called and reported that a ""customer"" had mistakenly taken my piece. \r

When I went to pick it up, I said that I would write him a check for the amount of the piece less the cost to have it repaired since I?d made numerous trips to his shop and he?d repeatedly insinuated that I was trying to cheat him. He demanded the full amount, explained that he?d paid the ?customer? $10 for bringing back MY piece! Adding insult to injury, he immediately rushed to the bank and cashed my check as if I had written him a bad check! I wouldn?t trust this man to fix a cheap Seiko watch, let alone a valued piece of jewelry! \r
