La Brochette Bistro 11/3/2007

Been long-time patrons of La Brochette and went recently for my b-day. For first time ever, we were disappointed; Daniel, the finest waitor in the world had resigned a while back-never a good sign! So the service took on a new approach; one person tells you about the specials, another takes your order, a third brings your food and a fourth tells you about desserts and brings the check. This type of service you would see at a chain but not at La Brochette and doesn't work for them at all. Part of why we loved this restaurant was the ambiance and that is completely lost with the assembly of servers. Plus the wait time in-between each of these was not smooth. Large tables were well attended to and it seems they got to the small 2 person tables if convenient. \r Chef Aboud has apparently altered the menu quite a bit and for me for the first time ever, I felt the food was lacking but cannot put my finger on what that was. All-in-all a disappointing experience compared to the other times we've been there. Pros: Food Cons: Ambience more
