Oh, how I love to find a local place that too few know about! This place was a complete surprise, from it's location in Cooper City to its appearance from the parking lot. \r The food was creative and delicious. The service was attentive and informative. \r Eat, digest, repeat. more

This was the best meal I have had in a long time. My husband and I went for the specials, sea bass with macadamia nut crust and stuffed trout. Both were fresh and delicious. There were many options besides seafood-meat, lamb, poultry. Service great, very nice, cozy, romantic ambience. We'll definitely return. more

My wife and I had our birthday dinner there. (they are a week apart). Chef Aboud made a Tasmanian salmon with a smoked salmon sauce and salmon roe as a garnish. The texture of the fish, the sauce and then the salty explosion of salt from the roe. Truly artistic. Don't bother with the menu. The specials are magical. Seafood is incredible. Must have it flown in cause it's that fresh. more

Dining at La Brochette is always a delight. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy and is a good spot for a romantic interlude or special occasion. The staff is friendly and attentive and very knowledgable about the menu and the specials. The steaks, chicken, and fish specials are phenomenal and the desserts are too! (Try the Bread Pudding). I highly recommend this restaurant... one spot for 15+ years says it all! more

Send Gordon Ramsey as soon as possible! 11/22/2008

We are not critics, but we dine out quite a bit. We looked forward to trying this dining establishment after reading the great reviews and we were more than just disappointed. The escargots were over seasoned with tons of garlic and the soup had fake crab in it. One of our fish dishes was raw in the middle and the other was tasteless with fake crab in the middle of it, not a stuffing that they advised it had. We even tried to order a desert, but they could not even get a sorbet right! It was mango, came in a mango, but was frozen so solid that a spoon could not even break into it. There was a terrible mango flavored syrup on top. When we sent it back, they returned it a few minutes later after putting it in the microwave. Gordon Ramsey needs to come to this place and help them out. I would not try it until he does.\r Pros: Main server was good, the others were not necessary and annoying Cons: Terrible food, lacking decor, over priced. more

La Brochette Bistro 11/3/2007

Been long-time patrons of La Brochette and went recently for my b-day. For first time ever, we were disappointed; Daniel, the finest waitor in the world had resigned a while back-never a good sign! So the service took on a new approach; one person tells you about the specials, another takes your order, a third brings your food and a fourth tells you about desserts and brings the check. This type of service you would see at a chain but not at La Brochette and doesn't work for them at all. Part of why we loved this restaurant was the ambiance and that is completely lost with the assembly of servers. Plus the wait time in-between each of these was not smooth. Large tables were well attended to and it seems they got to the small 2 person tables if convenient. \r Chef Aboud has apparently altered the menu quite a bit and for me for the first time ever, I felt the food was lacking but cannot put my finger on what that was. All-in-all a disappointing experience compared to the other times we've been there. Pros: Food Cons: Ambience more

A nice experience 10/15/2004

La Brochette Bistro, as one can imagine, features many dishes cooked on their brochette in a neo-classical french style. The ambience is quite nice, especially considering its out of the way locale (a small strip mall in Cooper City). The service was very good, standard for a bistro of this category. The food was quite good but not extraordinary, and the list of specials was both extensive and tantalizing (cold jellyfish salad, seared pumpkin swordfish w/ raspberry chipotle sauce, etc). It is somewhat expensive (entrees $20-$30 each), but it is the best place for bistro style french food that I have come across in this area. Pros: Quality cooking, Ambience Cons: , Busy more

GREAT RESTAURANT 9/2/2003

My husband and I have been visiting Florida for 25 years. This is probably one of the best restaurants in the area. You cannot believe the quality in a strip mall store front restaurant. I am sure we will be back again and again. Pros: great quality, great preparation, great presentation more
