I lived in the lamplight ""luxury"" apartment homes in Kaukauna, WI for two years with my significant other. \r

They will tell you that it's a family environment, with lots of activities and gatherings. If you consider the police driving around the apartments constantly and cars being broken in to a family type activitiy then they are the right apartments for you! I did not meet or talk to ONE person the entire time I lived there until the day we started moving out!\r

Also - The mail and garbage are barely within walking distance. It takes 10 minutes just to walk to one or the other. The mail lady also messed up the mail A LOT - we got other neighbor's mail on more than one occasion.\r

They also recently added cable to the rent which is just a way for them to make more money. A lot of people there already have satelite dishes and don't even want cable.\r

The plumbing in our apartment was a mess. The dishwasher broke on two occasions, the hot water heater flooded our bathroom, and the toilet constantly ran. You have to put in a request to get things repaired (typical for any apartment building) - but after things were fixed we still had problems.\r

We recently moved out and are having a very difficult time getting our security deposit back. We had a professional cleaning lady clean our apartment for us when we moved, and they are still claiming things were ""dirty"". \r

Beware!
Pros: Nice apartments
Cons: Poor managment, not worth the price, and unfriendly neighbors.
