Hayashi serves some of the best sushi I have ever put in my mouth. I cannot believe its in G'Town. I've had sushi across the U.S. including Philly, Boston, NY, Miami, Seattle and San Francisco. Besides its freshness, the menu features many fusion items including rolls with mango and papaya and a ceviche made with rice vinegar. For the meat and potatoes people, there is steak, chicken and they also do a 'surf and turf"" habachi or teriyaki style. For the die hard sushi eaters. Hayashi's also offers Omakase, offering a five, seven or nine course meal of the chef's choosing. Don't forget desert, tempura ice cream is my fave.
Pros: Daily specials from the sushi bar and kitchen
Cons: I don't have a stomach large enough, but that's just me.
