Carolyn of Sew On Set was my dresser in Florida Grand Opera's ""Anna Karenina"". Through four costume changes and as many combinations of accessories she somehow managed to keep me straight.\r
""Gloves?"" I would ask while running out the dressing room door. ""No gloves"" would be Carolyn's reply as she stepped up to my stride and pulled them off my hands. Tie straightenings, scarf tyings, hat placement and belt reversals - no detail escaped her sharp eye. Every task she performed came with a smile and a word of encouragement for the person under the costume.
