I am a bride on a budget, i only had around 600 dollars to spend on my wedding dress + alterations. i searched like crazy and found my dream wedding dress for a steal!! but of course, it didnt fit me, it was 3 sizes bigger than me, and it needed to be hemmed and altered to be strapless. \r
My next step was to find a skilled seamstress that would make that dress THE dress of my dreams,... and after many google searches, reading reviews and asking around in dry cleaners etc, i came across the sew on set site.\r
i asked Carolyn on an email how much she would charge, and the price was not bad at all! I was about to call her to fix my dress when a friend told me she knew a good seamstress that would do it cheaper. Then cheapo me went ahead with the cheap seamstress, and my dress didnt turn up what i wanted it to be. Thats' when i decided to call Carolyn and she came to the rescue :-)\r
I called her and explained what had happened, she came to my house, saw the dress, gave me an estimate and explained to me what had to be done (she had to put it apart, work her magic and then reconstruct it) and her prices were still good, she didnt try to take advantage of me because of my situation. Warning: She's always on time!\r
So in sum, girls, if this is an important piece of clothing you are modifying, like your wedding dress, Carolyn is the best! \r
pd my dress came out great :-)
