I've been using her for almost 3 years now and I'm so happy to see her business grow! She is the most talented tailor I know. I had tried other tailors such as Mr B and Al the Tailor but I was incredibly disappointed. They took forever and I had to wait months to wear the clothes I needed altered. But with Carolyn, even the most challenging alterations are done quickly. Carolyn works hard to get it done so I can attend my events on time. She's become a very valued person in my life and is always so helpful. Sometimes I even call her when I'm out shopping for help and to see if she would be able to alter certain clothes for me. She always takes time to talk on the phone and answer questions. I'm so happy to have a tailor who's alterations are quick and don't hurt my wallet. I'm in love! more

She tailored a suit of mine and did a fantastic job. I looked great and got compliments all night.\r Fast. Reasonable prices. Friendly. Great atmosphere. Helpful. Reliable. \r It only took her 2 days to alter my suit and deliver it back to me. She called to check in and answered whenever I called. I felt comfortable leaving my expensive clothes with her. I am so pleased with her service. I could not be any happier. more

I recently travelled for an interview at MIchael's Genuine Food and Drink in the Miami Design District. Since I am a female chef, I like to get those baggy chef uniforms tailored to show off my figure. Luckily, I found Sew on Set Tailor right around the corner from Michael's. Carolyn fitted me in the morning and by dinner time, I picked up my jacket and pants. They fit perfectly and my curves were accentuated in all the right places. more

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CAROLYN!!! 2/7/2011

I am a bride on a budget, i only had around 600 dollars to spend on my wedding dress + alterations. i searched like crazy and found my dream wedding dress for a steal!! but of course, it didnt fit me, it was 3 sizes bigger than me, and it needed to be hemmed and altered to be strapless. \r My next step was to find a skilled seamstress that would make that dress THE dress of my dreams,... and after many google searches, reading reviews and asking around in dry cleaners etc, i came across the sew on set site.\r i asked Carolyn on an email how much she would charge, and the price was not bad at all! I was about to call her to fix my dress when a friend told me she knew a good seamstress that would do it cheaper. Then cheapo me went ahead with the cheap seamstress, and my dress didnt turn up what i wanted it to be. Thats' when i decided to call Carolyn and she came to the rescue :-)\r I called her and explained what had happened, she came to my house, saw the dress, gave me an estimate and explained to me what had to be done (she had to put it apart, work her magic and then reconstruct it) and her prices were still good, she didnt try to take advantage of me because of my situation. Warning: She's always on time!\r So in sum, girls, if this is an important piece of clothing you are modifying, like your wedding dress, Carolyn is the best! \r pd my dress came out great :-) more

I found Sew on Set by internet and am so glad I did! I thought that her prices were fair and reasonable and would highly recommend her services to anyone and everyone. Pros: Best service in town more

Costume designer/dresser extraordinaire 10/2/2007

She has been dressing cast members for the Florida Grand Opera for the past three years and she has been very agreeable. Her professionalism has been outstanding and her attention to detail has been incredible. She will not allow you to leave the dressing room without pointing out a detail you had surely forgotten and then helped you with the accessory. She was my dresser for the quick change in Samson et Dalila in which she had me dressed and ready to go with time to unwind from the hectic change of costume. She is reliable and a super professional. more

Attentive and helpful dresser 10/2/2007

Carolyn of Sew On Set was my dresser in Florida Grand Opera's ""Anna Karenina"". Through four costume changes and as many combinations of accessories she somehow managed to keep me straight.\r ""Gloves?"" I would ask while running out the dressing room door. ""No gloves"" would be Carolyn's reply as she stepped up to my stride and pulled them off my hands. Tie straightenings, scarf tyings, hat placement and belt reversals - no detail escaped her sharp eye. Every task she performed came with a smile and a word of encouragement for the person under the costume. more

Excellent draper and seamstress 9/30/2007

Calm and cool under stress. Regardless of the circumstances, she came through with solutions. Things ran smoothly on our hectic set, thanks to crew like Carolyn. She is a reliable professional with top notch skills. Pros: Creative solutions for costuming Cons: location more

Best seamtress! 9/28/2007

I hired her for a local photo shoot and she really amazed me. She had to alter the garments to fit the models for the live action photos. One model was too big which meant she had to let out a few seams. The real difficult one was the size 2 model who had size 6 garments and one of them was a wool tailored suit. When she was done with that, it looked like a Dolce & Gabbana (inside and out). She stayed up until 5am to get it all done for the next days 8am call. She was easy to get along with and always willing to lend a hand when needed. more
