Chef Rachel never disappoints. Words fail me in describing her absolutely luscious treats; one needs only to taste a sample and risk being hooked forever. Our favorite (and most requested) special occasion cake is the Metropolis, dark chocolate, mocha mousse, coffee genoise and semi-sweet chocolate fondant. Very European-like, smooth as silk and not overly sweet. Among her seasonal specials we loved the Whoopie Pie, which is a rich, moist pumpkin sort of soft cookie with a heavenly cream cheese filling. But my absolute favorite is the luscious lemon Basque Tart with raspberries, so outstandingly rich but light - pure heaven. She also does amazing free-form birthday cakes. We saw one for another customer that was a stegasaurus, complete with the landscape of rocks, flora and fauna, all of which was edible. She's quite the artist, as well as one hulluva' baker!
