My wife and I eat dinner out several times a month, so when we go to dinner we like to have a good meal. Budget is usually of not much of a concern. However, when did a bottle of Pellegrino cost $8.50 in N.J.?!?! It still cost $6-$6.50 in NYC. I am under the impression since the restaurant review books usually rate the cost of a restaurant by their entree prices that Reggiano's is trying to beat the system by having reasonably price entrees, but everything else is expensive. A shrimp appetizer which wasn't on the menu was $16.00, and a pound cake dessert was $9.00 It was basically cold pound cake with some store brought whipped cream and a few slices of strawberry. The menus states it was with mascarpone cheese, but I didn't see any nor taste any. Also, when we called and asked if we could bring our own wine, the young girl who answered the phone said yes. She also told us there was no corkage fee when we asked, but of course, there was a $15 charge on our bill. All-in-all, it is a nice looking and clean restaurant, which has live music on Saturday nights. The food is good, but I am not crazy about being nickel-and-dimed, especially on the water which costs them no more than $1.29 each. They don't offer a way to contact them via their website, so I will most likely not even bother to tell them my thoughts. There is a great restaurant Fortissimo's right next door (to the left), try it, you'll like it!
Pros: Clean, great service
Cons: Parking,water and dessert prices
