Pelly's has been a North County secret for years. An old fashioned seafood market with private access to great fresh fish, it's low brow funky feel belied it's incredible fare. Surf movies are shown in the small dining room although most sit outside if the weather is ok. Unfortunately, the place is starting to slip. You basically have a choice between a fish sandwich and a seafood plate but the portions of each have become smaller and smaller. Recently they got rid of their staple lemonade drink. Still have an excellent red or white or mixed chowder. Best cole slaw around. Great hot sauce as well. In the old days the cook would make up anything in the case for you with his signature lemon dill sauce if you asked but most of the old faces have been replaced and the food, it just aint the same. Service has become slower as well.
