On Thursday 12/28/06 my wife took a new pair of slacks to this place to get altered for a News Year's eve function. She was assured the alteration could be done by 12-noon on Saturday 12/30/06. When we went to collect the slacks at approx. 2.15pm on Saturday the shop could not find them! We waited for half an hour while the staff appeared to search high and low for the slacks but to no avail. Interestingly, there was another woman there at the same time in exactly the same predicament - they couldn't find her slacks either! We left after half an hour only because we had a 3pm commitment that we had to keep in the city - and only after the woman in charge at the shop assured us that if they found the slacks she would call my home number and leave arrangements for us to pick them up in time for the New Year's eve function. When we arrived home late on the Saturday night there was a message from the woman at the shop saying they had found the slacks - but nothing more. Despite the late hour we phoned the shop, intending to leave a voice mail, but their voice mail was full. We called several times Sunday but the shop was closed and their voice mail remained full. Needless to say this caused my wife much distress and she had to reorganize her wardrobe for our New Year's eve function out of town. When we went to collect the slacks on Tuesday 1/2/07 the shop wanted to charge us the full price of the alterations (despite having failed to provide us with the altered slacks for New Year's eve). But worse was to come: during the ensuing negotiations, the woman apparently in charge of the shop grabbed my wife's arms several times and pushed her against a wall once -- and a male employee attempted to lock me in the shop until we paid the full price of the alterations. I had to call the police. These are nasty, incompetent people without a shred of understanding of customer service.\r
