Our experience with Modesto Sewing and Vacuum was awful in every way. The service/repair that was supposed to be done to our sewing machines was faulty. 1. Neither sewing machine worked when I brought it home. On one the needle was put in backwards and the tension adjusted so tightly that the thread couldn't slide through. The other wouldn't form a complete stitch. 2. Both smelled like car engine cleaning solvent (sewing machine oil does NOT smell like this) 3. He was rude and unprofessional when I asked him to look at the machines again, (responded by saying ""that's all you're gonna get from me"" when I asked him to look again). He yelled and was offensive in front of my child. By the time I was done getting my sewing machine from his shop, my 5 year old daughter was covering her ears, crying in a corner of the store because she was afraid of this man. I left as soon as I could get the machine and get her out of there.
Pros: None, unfortunately it is on a main street
Cons: unprofessional, service was awful, rude and intimidating
