I live in Providence and there is ~one~ place to get good tacos in my area - La Lupita in Olneyville Square in Providence. There are a couple more places but they're garbage. I go to LL a real lot. Can't get much better - especially in Providence - Goombahville =) Simple, quick, REALLY inexpensive, and awesome.
However - Because our current president's America dictates that three dollar gas prices are OK... two nights a week I stay in Marlborough, MA closer to my job. I'm kind of a taco freak and Taco Bell bites, so... I went on the hunt for a place in or near Marleyburruh.
Although they have no menu they can fax you, or can be found online, Mi Ranchito is a close second to the taco masters known as La Lupita. Mi Ranchito is in downtown Marlborough across from the former "adult store". Pretty no nonsense, good prices, and the tacos are good - very good. I've been twice and had take-out, never ate-in. I recommend it, especially seeing that good REAL taco places are scarce...
