A most delightful experience awaited us on our lunch visit to Cafe Nola on Labor Day. From the polished wine glasses and cutlery to the inviting daily menu, we immediately felt right at home. A warm ambience and soft music from a bygone era complimented our server's welcome. Elegant accents such as serving bread from a bread basket do not go unnoticed. I was also appreciative of the white linen used to tidy the neck of the bottle of red wine we selected to compliment our lunch. The eggplant parmigiana was a pleasant surprise and the lightly grilled bread that accompanied it was perfectly toasted. A fragrant garlic pasta accompanied the entree. Extra virgin olive oil adorned every table. The booth we were seated in was rather non descript, however it was comfortable and private, and soon forgotten over the warm bread pudding dessert and tawny port. The dessert plate was artistically dressed and well received.\r
A thoroughly enjoyable experience. I will return again, the experience is unparallelled and most uncommon in this day of generic restaurant offerings...\r
Pros: Ambience, service, style
