We are not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. Since the recent building remodel, Clarke's has become sort of a clip joint. While the food is still fair, it is NOT consistent, entrees were not hot and over cooked at times. Service is ""fine"". Our biggest complaint is the extremely loud, non-relaxing and non-romantic environment. We left feeling that we were taken, as for two, we paid over $200 for a bottle of wine, 2 entrees, starters and dessert and it was only mediocre quality food; not to mention the deafening noise coming from the multitude of other loud-mouthed patrons. Sad to say, we will NOT be returning. This place needs some serious over-looking by management or they will be back off the map, once again. It is too loud and sloppy! No wonder they almost went under a year ago.
