Beautiful lighting and decor lure you inside, but over priced offerings with a seemingly unconcerned staff await. This restaurant is perfect for the visiting business person with an expense account, otherwise it's a waste of time and money for anyone who has been to one of the better restaurants in Los Angeles. The foie gras sampler was boring when it promised so much on the menu, the mimosa salad was fine but hardly anything special. The entrees were the best thing on the menu. The service was inconsistant. We were served someone else's entrees before receiving our appetizers. In addition, it took the waiter 20 minutes to inform us that the bottle of wine we had requested was unavailable. I was very disappointed that a chef of Gadsby's caliber was obviously not monitoring the quality of the food and the service. Too bad we didn't stop by when he was visiting as I'm sure it would have been a different experince entirely.
Pros: Ambience, lighting, romantic
Cons: Poor service, overpriced for the experience
