Toast has excellent and creative food, good coffee, and a funky, fun ambience. I've been fortunate enough to not have to wait in line (8-9:30 am on weekdays), but I understand that on weekends and near lunchtime, the waiting line goes out the door. It's worth the wait. The service is generally good, the atmosphere is friendly, and the food is reasonably priced (especially since you get a lot of it - we usually take home leftovers for at least one more breakfast). Their cheezy grits are outstanding, and the cinnamon challah bread is worth the upcharge. I enjoy the Spicy Cali omelete, and the Breakfast Burrito and Huevos Rancheros are the favorite menu items of my meat-eating partner.
Pros: great food, good coffee, funky ambience
Cons: small restaurant, can be a long wait at peak hours
