Having grown up in NWI, I've been to the Commander more times than I can recall. It is nothing extraordinary, but as far as the privately-owned sit down restaurants go, it is above average. I've never been disappointed with their food, their breakfasts have always filled me up, and the menu (the last time I was there about a year ago,) was very reasonable. As a side note, several years back the management purchased a high-end coffee machine. What a difference. EXCELLENT coffee. EXCELLENT. I don't know if they still have it, but I certainly hope they do for the next time I'm there.
Pros: Affordable, decent selection, good coffee
Cons: Nothing flashy- just an average restaurant
