Treated My Daughter as though she didn't belong there - Like Julia Roberts In Pretty Woman 8/11/2006

I asked Jewel to go look for her wedding dress due to the fact my husband & I were out of town. She was so excited, her first day to actually go looking for her special dress. When lo & behold she goes into ""Weddings by Debbie"" and the sales clerk starts asking her questions. Then the clerk proceeded to tell her this was not the shop for her and she would have to shop elsewhere. See, here's where the Clerk missed it by a ""MILE"", my daughter's not paying for the dress - her father and I are. Since she is our only daughter - she pretty much has her pick. She was being a very sweet daughter and thought if she can find her dress on sale then that will leave more she can do for the reception...she is having 8 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen - so this will be no small affair. It will be at our local country club and all that entails. Including a victorian carriage pulled by white horses - we found her dress (wrong color (your shop had the right color and size) so we had to ordered it) - the price before alterations is slightly under $2,000.00 - then she wants ""Jasmine"" to add other embelishments which will up the price extensively - so your treating my daughter badly and making her feel like poor white trash (when she is definitely not) is geting this other place of business the Jasmine Coutre dress, 8 bridesmaid dresses, 2 flower girl dresses (in silk), 12 tux rentals in total - not counting all the shoes for everyone. 2 Mother of the Bride and Groom Dresses, and 3 Grandmother Dresses. I hope you change your method of operation because it would have been much easier to just buy the dress from you and be done with it - but there comes a time when you must make a stand and say ""I deserve to be treated better"". As my daughter is getting married it is one the most important lessons I can teach her before she takes that big plunge - something you should think about. Hope things go better for you in the future. Pros: Had the right dress in stock Cons: Didn't buy the right dress on principle - ordered it from a competitor who treated us better! more
