We decide to stop back, after 5 years. The smell of sour bar rags on arrival still exists. We were seated outside, a TIGHT table for 2. Requested a different table. Ordered apps. Is it routine to bring the food first and then the silverware? Chix quesadilla with sour fermenting pineapple salsa. Returned it for fermenting reg salsa. Also ordered coconut chix w/ grey puopon mustard??? Not plum sauce?? They were OK. Ordered gumbo. Husband liked it but by that time, I decided it was Alpo like. We had to ask to have the quesadilla w/ twice bad salsa removed from the bill. Requested to talk to the manager who agreed the salsa was old. We also suggested the seating was way too tight. Let's just say we WILL NOT be back.
Pros: The name "Dixies" has a nice ring.
Cons: TIGHT TIGHT SEATING, bad food, train the servers
