A poor show for Nashville 7/31/2006

\r We have visited Mortons on several occasions and have always had good evenings, that said we have not been for a year or so. We went back at the weekend with high expectation and what a waste of $250.00 for two. The Maitre'D had his back to the incoming guests while checking them in on a snazzy computerized screen, and we waited to be seated even with a reservation. \r \r The restaurant was oversold or understaffed, one of the 2, as we did not have good service. It was incredibly loud, no atmosphere whatsoever, and when we did get our entrees we had to send one back as it was cooked wrong. \r \r We travel a lot and experience a lot, and if this is the best we can expect in Nashville we are deeply saddened. Also, what ever happened to the dress code, and when going out and spending hundreds meant dressing up and looking the part, people in sandals and beach shorts in a fine restaurant? What are they thinking?\r \r I can honestly say I would rather have spent $40.00 in Shoneys, Mortons needs to raise its game, or lower its prices and start selling tacos' \r more
