My wife and I bought take out ribs and sides from Reo's for this first time last nite (715/06). We bought 1 slab of baby back ribs, two medium sides (1 baked beans and 1 potato salad) and 2 slices of cornbread. 1 slab of baby backs costs $30. Each medium side was $3 each for about about 1.5 cups quantity. Cornbread was $1 per square. At first I ordered a half slab wanting to be cautious. A half slab is $15 and about 6 ribs quantity. That wasn't enough for two so when we arrived we added another half slab. \r
Our whole slab totaled 13 ribs, a fair quantity. Most all were very meaty, all were tender, smoky and perfectly cooked. A nice mild sauce covered them. I rate the ribs an ""A"" but I think $30 is the top of my price point. \r
The side dishes are advertised as homemade and appeared to be so. The beans were mildly spiced perhaps a bit too much for me but they were cooked perfectly. The potato salad was a basic po-sal, velvety smooth and yummy. Again I think $3 per medium size side was at the top of the price point for me Cornbread was a large enough square and just fine, but again I could not go more than $1 per square.\r
It seems most people order food to go. It is an unassuming place, down to earth, placing emphasis on the food. The service counter person was very friendly..\r
We were stuffed and very happy with the meal at a total cost of $38. I think this price point for us is the top. \r
When Tony Roma's was in town they gave a great deal on well cooked baby backs for a fair price. Some may laugh at this but Roma's did a good job on ribs. We have had ribs from Flint's in Oakland, CA (slow cooked hickory ribs and nationally regarded or used to be as a top rated rib joint) so we think we can give a fair evaluation. \r
Reo's beats Buster's in Tigard so perhaps this justifies the higher price. We give Buster's a B.\r
Overall we would say try Reo's, the ribs are great, sides are a B. We will go back and try other offerings.
