Ever since the Los Angeles Times said that Jr's Barbeque was the best barbeque joint on the westside of L.A. this place has smoked. I'd add Benny's BBQ for their incredible hot links & Mr. Cecils on Pico for those legendary beef ribs. These 3 BBQ palaces rule Hog Heaven on the westside. Jr's recipe for their absolutely delicious corn bread is a family heirloom as are the sauce recipes. You ain't had no BBQ until you sunk your teeth into a Jr. Barbeque beef brisket. They smoke it for 18 hours, low & slow for that truly real smokedhouse flavor. No gas charbroilers here, it's mesquite & wood or nothing. They do it right.
Pros: Side dishes, sauces & brisket
Cons: Closed on Sunday
