Avoid Bait and Switch Happy Hour 6/15/2006

Acorn seemed like a great place for happy hour on their open air patio and had some great specials as HEAVILY advertised on radio. It was after we were seated when my friends and I were informed that happy hour didn't apply to the patio. This is NOT mentioned anywhere on their website or radio ads. In fact, on the website, patrons are encouraged to go out on the patio right next to description of happy hours. You could see how one would be confused. The waitress happily informed us that it was ok, we could just order off the menu. I would expect to be treated like that at a used car dealership, but not a restaurant. It's just shifty and blatant gauging. We were also the literally the ONLY people in the entire restaurant which seemed odd. There are so many great restaurants in Nashville, I'd recommend patronizing them rather than this place. more
