While searching for a sushi making class, I found ""Akashi"". Yung was so friendly and enthusiastic about the class. I registered myself, my sister and my mom... and my 10 year old daughter (big sushi lover!) came along to observe.
We attended ""Sushi 101"" today and it was great. Yung took time to explain the history/making of sushi. I have a greater appreciation for sushi chefs... what they make look easy is SO difficult! But, by the end of our class we were making gorgeous sushi rolls.
We feasted on 32 pieces of delicious ""negi maki""!! That alone is worth the $50... plus you get sushi rice, seaweed wraps, dried seaweed and a sushi mat to take home.
I'm excited to make my own sushi... AND I look forward to going to ""Akashi"" to enjoy their wonderful sushi prepared quickly and at a great price!
