City Tavern was recommended by friends from Philadelphia. When my family and I arrived we were greeted by a very pleasant girl dressed in an 18th century outfit. The restaurant was beautiful, it really felt like went back in time. We expected Thomas Jefferson to walk by at any moment. Although Jefferson was not have dinner this night I had the chance to try his ale, Washington might have been a great president but he was even better at brewing beer. Dinner was great, I had the venison and my wife had the duckling. Even our very picky children enjoyed a mini turkey pot pie from Martha Washington's recipe. Dinner was not only execellent but our friendly server made it a history lesson. (If high school would have been like this I would have higher grades in history.)
Pros: Great Food, Friendly Servers, Rich History
