Wandered by with friends Saturday night and stopped into this new place. The interior was totally unexpected -- a Paris street scene and very elaborately done! We were greeted by a bartender passing by, who invited us to explore and sit wherever. It's a very large room with several distinct and themed areas. There's a beer garden up front which serves as the bar, a cafe/courtyard in the middle with tables scattered around a large tree and fountain, and a back room filled with cozy red furniture. They had a good crowd Saturday, an excellent selection of tap beers and inexpensive wine by the glass, and sufficient food and appetizers. The only thing missing is hard alcohol, which we were told is in the works. Bravo to Cafe Metropolitain for creating a very cool and comfortable atmosphere in which to hang out with friends. I'll definitely be back!
