Like credit agencies, it seems one bad (and sometimes faulty) report gives an undeserved bad mark. So it is I feel for that Jim S. 12/29/2005 comments about HHS with the "unethical practices of offering heartworm positive dogs for adoption." I just adopted a HW positive terrier from HHS and they not only told me that he was positive but they would treat him largely at their cost (my vet said the medicine alone would cost $60). Everybody was nice and called my vet for secure references before letting me have the dog. Wonder if they did the same thing for this guy given his narrow-minded attitude about being "shaft-ed" in adopting a (poor) HW positive dog (I hope you bring it back, fella!).
PROS: Good and responsible people!
CONS: Need more adoptions for the big dogs.
