JT Schmid's is located immediately across the street from the Honda Center; it's easy to walk to from the Center. \r

It's similar to a BJ's Brewery but a bit more upscale. I was in a party of 6 on a concert night. The restaurant is big an open and nicely decorated. The food was excellent. Various members of party had steak, linguine, a burger, and a sandwich. They were very good about handling a special order (customized pasta dish for someone with allergies to tomatoes) and everything was very tasty. Beware: portions are huge. I admit that no one in our party complained about that. Quality was great and each dish was perfectly accompanied by appropriate sides. \r

I was the only one in the party to sample the microbrew; I had a fantastic Hefeweizen. Yummy!\r

The one mistake we made was dessert. We ordered three desserts to split. We could have shared them with two other tables and still had leftovers. Again, quality was great and quantity was enormous. The best of the bunch was the fantastic sorbet trio followed by a fabulous brownie and then the apple pizza. The brownie had a generous portion of ice cream and plenty of whipped cream and such. The apple pizza was huge but I didn't care for the pizza crust. \r

Even when the place was at full capacity, I don't recall noise being an issue. We chatted comfortably throughout out 2 hour dinner. There is no doubt I will recommend this place to friends and I will be back next time I'm in the area.
Pros: Convenient Parking, Great Food, Good Variety
Cons: Can't Think of Any
