maybe we visited this restaurant too early in it's developement. we went soon after it opened. our whole table got fried chicken as the menu is fairly limited. the fried portion was so thick and hard (not crispy) that it kind of chipped off the breast meat-and it had zero flavor. now i am all for new southern fare and i won't claim that i am some sort of expert just because i spent the first 28 years of my life in the deep south. i hope they make some adjustments because they are closer to me than my favorite southern restaurant which i will refrain from mentioning out of respect. i would humbly submit that the menu would benefit from the addition of more vegetables and meat choices. although maybe they are trying to elevate southern food to some haute cuisine level that apparently does not include a bit of salt. i am not a salt junkie, but you gotta have SOME. atmosphere was stark and lack luster.
Pros: despite food, service was good
Cons: bland food, terribly boring atmosphere
