I'm from South Carolina and had to laugh when I heard there was a ""Carolina BBQ"" place in Venice. Once I tried it though, I literally felt like I was back at home it was that good. The food and the service are fantastic! Whether as take-out or eating in, I love everything about this place and the food. The style is country dive - like you'd find anywhere in Carolina, but nowhere in LA. My favorites are the mac & cheese, BBQ chicken, pulled pork and cole slaw. This place is the ONLY place in LA that even remotely reminds me of being back home. Enjoy!
