The design is horrible. As you sit in either a booth or open area, your view or atmosphere is watching the people at the bar. The staff are hurriedly running around saying,""excuse me."" The people in the bar area runoff into the dining area, so noise is a factor as well as drunks at the bar. The only friendly people are the women at the front. Typically, the waitresses are running around with their heads cut off. Don't go near the bar, it's as if you are making them work as they are not interested in serving their customers what-so-ever. The food is a saving grace as it is usually well prepared. There is zero personal touch and quality in making anyone feel wanted at the Yardhouse in Costa Mesa. I would like to give a lower score than a 3, but the food is good.
