There's plenty of reviews about the food, service, etc. but let's look at the whole experience. The feel of the newly renovated place is homey. True, I get better service at home but the staff tries, they're honest with you about what's good and what you may not like. I like the short ribs, medium, lightly sauced. Emphasize the ""light"" part or just order the sauce on the side. The catfish is OK, they do pork ribs and sausage better. Sides are on the blah side. Portions are huge but save yourself for some cobbler. This is their best dessert. Paintings from local artists surround you and combine that with the friendliness of the place, well you can overlook a few things. Everybody's view of 'que is different, so I'm not going to tell you that it's the best in town, just that I like it. For you lovers of this kind of cuisine, this is one to put on your list to judge for yourself.
