We are new to the area and my husband wanted to take me someplace special for my birthday. I read EVERYWHERE about how great this place was. The atmosphere is great but the food is nothing special. For the price it should have been outstanding. I had caviar that was mediocre, with the Berns accompaniments. They plate of 5 accompanimnets all tasted the same had been sitting out for awhile b/c all of them were metling on the marble plate they were presented on. My filet was cooked as ordered (rare)but had no flavor. The bernaise sauce was adequate but served cold. The house vegetables were awful. It really seemed as if they had pureed whatever scraps had been leftover for the week to serve[my b-day was on a Sunday] The server was innattentive, never asking if my husband wanted another drink, and we had to request refills on water. I enjoy a relaxed elongated meal but not b/c the waiter continuously forgets we are there! As a hospitality company director, I was very disappointed with the experience and will never return to this resaturant.
