Sitton's? I swear, the sign says ""NoHo Diner"" out front... but I digress. Sitton's is the anti-Denny's-- it's crusty and fusty, and kind of eccentric. The waitresses, while friendly, have that wise-cracking cynicism that comes from slinging plates o' hash at neighborhood regulars for years. The food? Fairly unremarkable -- but it's diner food, what do you expect? One of my screenwriter friends who lives in Studio City swears by this place -- he loves that it's unpretentious and unapologetically not a chain restaurant. Me? Well, I was disappointed somewhat because I was so hoping that the food would be awesome, and it'd be the kind of place I'd go to every Sunday. But, well... if the food was great, then I'd probably never be able to get a table so quickly on a Sunday morning. It's a neighborhood diner -- the kind of place you'd see in every town in the U.S.A. if there were no Denny's -- and if your expectations are at that level, you'll never be disappointed.
Pros: Decent diner food, rarely a wait for a table
Cons: Slightly cranky but friendly waitresses, unremarkable food
