The macaroons are worth the trek to the Valley. It's a little known secret, but the pastry chef is also the mastermind of the macaroons of other restaurants throughout Los Angeles. Definitely try the melted brie cheese sandwich. The incredible mushroom soup (which is diary free but still creamy) can nurse any hangover of any magnitude. I recommend picking up one of their delightful dessert treats for dinner parties... it even impresses some of the toughest critics and in-laws.
