This is our favorite Italian restaurant! Even when we were in Italy, we longed for the food at Pastaria (I'm ashamed to admit it but it's true). The baked brie is a must (with delicious hot ciabatta bread). Some favorites are the pasta puttanesca (even if you don't like anchovies, the tomato sauce is rich and perfect), aglio e olio (simple but tasty - portion is small so keep in mind if you're a big eater), chicken parmesan, penne with seafood, many more! Ambience is nice and friendly, totally relaxed and unpretentious. Only downside is that it's small and popular so sometimes even with a reservation, you might have to wait. Just get a glass of wine and enjoy the Los Gatos summer from the camping chairs set up outside!
