Dad was a steel worker so pizza wasn't a meal in the 60's. It was always a treat after a Penn Hills Football game to go to Della Sallas or to have it for your birthday party.
Now in my 50's it is nostalgic and still as delicious as ever not too much sauce but a generous amount of spice and lots of cheese and a crust to die for. The crust is thick but light is that is possible. And it is impossible to wait until you get home to dig into the first piece. My family always notices one piece missing when at home.
Pros: not too filling, smells wonderful, great cold in the AM
Cons: always eat to much
