I lived in near Tokyo for over a year and after returning to Raleigh I still longed for really good sushi and a truly Japanese atmosphere restaurant; I found it at Kuki. I'm surprised at any negative reviews, because Kuki has always been my favorite in the Raleigh area. Their sushi has always been the freshest and most trustworthy of any I've had in the area; whereas, I've had questionable sushi at Kashin and Little Tokyo in relation to it's freshness. When I'm at Kuki, I really feel like I'm back in Japan. Also, their miso shiro soup and salad with ginger dressing is the best. The prices are a higher than I'd prefer to pay, but I always know that I'll get good quality for my money. Yes, it is a small restaurant, but that is what the restaurants are like in Japan, which adds to it's authenticity.
Pros: Truly Japanese, Freshest sushi, Nice people
Cons: Price, Small space
