Unassuming, friendly & as a retiree I'd hate for them to realize they're very reasonably priced. Even more, I'd hate it becoming so crowded I couldn't get in. You only have to have a bit of culinary maturity, not Francophile aspirations to appreciate. Touristy location but mostly locals for dinner. A real French bistro, like in a small European village - I have some experience with that. In all honesty, can only wish them all the best.
