My wife and I have been looking forward to a Valentine's dinner at the Acorn for quite some time. Most of the Pre Fix menu was pretty good, at least until we got to the entree. When I cut into my Grilled Balsamic Pork Chop it was RAW. The waiter was very nice about taking it back, but when he returned with the plate, I cut it again and it was STILL UNCOOKED. Mistakes happen....once, but for the prices The Acorn charges, there's no excuse for sending food out wrong TWICE. Theydid adjust the price by taking the inedible entree off my bill. Gee.. thanks! As far as value, The Acorn is the only restaurant I know that has the nerve to sell a SCREW TOP bottle of Lindeman Sauvignon Blanc for $27. Unless you don't care about price or food quality, you'd be ""nuts"" to go to the Acorn.
