This restaurant hides itself in an unassuming plaza amidst Norcross office parks, but is truly a gem of a pan-Asian restaurant. Compared to most ""authentic"" pan-Asians on Buford highway or anywhere else, Phoenix is actually clean and serves a well-thought-out menu that caters to both Asian and Western palates, without the rampant use of grease and ""MSG"". Its success probably owes much to the chef, Thien, whom I suspect has had formidable formal training--because the sauces truly are ridiculously divine. Nothing tastes cheap or over-seasoned. Vegetables are cooks to the perfect doneness, and ingredients are [i]fresh[/i]. The only con is I find its pho flavor slightly reserved compared to Buford counterparts, and uses less fatty meat (meaning less tasty). The sauces of this restaurant along is worth a special trip.
