While going in for a MRI isn't a fun occaision the 'open' MRI that is done at this facility alleviates a lot of the unpleasantness associated with a traditional MRI. If you're claustrophibic, as my brother (who is the one who needs regular MRIs) is, this is a huge benefit. The staff and facility at Ken-Ton Open MRI are solid. We initially had some issues with his insurance provider bing willing to cover an MRI here, but with some effort on our part this was worked out. Still, it's something you should check in to so you don't end up with a bill. Scheduling can be a problem at times, and we've had to wait for what seemed like an overly long period at times. If you can't deal with the enclosed nature of a traditional MRI, than this is a good option to consider, provided you can get your insurer to cover it. PROS: No need for the enclsoure required for a traditional MRI CONS: Potential Insurance coverage issues more
