How could a tiny seafood shack survive in uber-competitive LA where a mediocre location can signal its death knell? By serving absolutely the best seafood that quite literally puts other, vastly more expensive restaurants to shame. Everything is cooked to perfection, with a great batter or blackened seasoning, piled high over fries or accompanying slaw. Grilled fish is flavorful and bold. The soups are rich and hearty with chunks of seafood. The staff does their best to mitigate the long line, walking along side to pre-order and start the cooking, so by the time you get to the front the food is ready to pick up and pay for. That kind of consideration scores big points for me. This is a MUST EAT for an LA Seafood coneisseur, along with Water Grill and Santa Monica Seafood.
