On a short trip to the central coast, my bf and I decided to dine at the SLO restaurant because our hotel was nearby. How we regret that decision! The decor should have tipped us off; it was like a Vegas attempt at recreating alfresco dining indoors.
I ordered a macadamia nut encrusted halibut, which was slightly burnt and devoid of flavor. His ""steak"" tasted like recently-defrosted, McDonald's meat. With such poor quality food, it actually offended me that the entrees were priced from $20+!
No complaints about the service: the 20-something local was pleasant and attentive. I did, however, notice that he seemed more indifferent as our food remained practically untouched. We tipped well, in spite of the meal!
I really can't express how awful and disappointing the food was. Shame on you Panolivo for charging those prices for unedible food!
Pros: decent service
Cons: Horrible food, Expensive, Decor
