I went to an upscale Churrascaria in Brazil a few years ago. Once I returned, I had to find one here. I had high expectations and didn't know if Fogo's would be less of an authentic experience. I was completely impressed. Fogo's was definitely up-to-par with the Churrascaria in Brazil and better in some respects.
I received excellent service and their food quality was unbeatable. They constantly ask you have any special request (meats cooked more well done, fried yucca, caipirinhas, etc.). Their service and food get my highest rating.
If I had to provide some criticism, it is a bit expensive at night/week-ends. Also, some of the other Churrascarias that I have been to had better salad bars.
I've since been back to Fogo's at least a dozen times and have tried several other Churrascarias in Brazil, but Fogo's is still number one in my book.
Pros: food quality, excellent service, side dishes
Cons: , salad bar, no Brazilian beer
