Just got back from there, went car camping, nice spot. Obviously, someone has put a lot of thought into these campsites, with clean restrooms with showers nearby.
Was interested in the negative comments. If you are not interested in nature, why bother going at all? Very relaxing, clean, relatively undisturbed by modern times, except for safety issues.
We saw lots of animals, raccoons, ringtails, deer, various reptiles, mostly lizards and interesting birds. Fireants right in the campsite are a problem, but they respond quickly to antbait. Don't use anything that would be hazardous to the environment however, please.
One of the kids found an arrowhead, which we turned in. Please comply with the rules about taking things out.
