While many critics of Marathon refer to it as ""nothing more than"" an upscale diner, I see that as part of the appeal. While never passing for fine dining, it is a great spot to eat comfort food and people-watch on a rainy night.
Although the burgers are only fair, their chicken, salmon, and tuna sandwiches are quite good. My personal favorite is the chicken pot pie, which is huge and piping hot, just like home made, but without the 3 hours of cooking time.
Another point in Marathon's favor is that it is fairly versatile, appropriate for either a meal or just a few drinks. They also show movies on a drop-down screen every Wednesday night at 9.
Pros: People-watching, comfortable food, location
Cons: , burgers only fair
